Welcome to my blog! My name is Kayla Granillo, I live in Redlands, California with my awesome husband and two children. I love Jesus, serving others, and golf! Well, should say I’m not actually good at golf, but I do enjoy a day outside with my friends. I was a teacher, now I am a full time mom. I am really good at the mom part, not so much the stay at home part. My dishes are always piled up, my laundry is never quite finished, and I’m always one ingredient short in a recipe.
I was born and raised in Southern California, attended undergrad at CSU San Bernardino, and graduate school at the University of Redlands. I played soccer player for CSUSB and then became an assistant coach at the UofR. My husband and I met when I was in graduate school, and he was starting dental school. We moved to San Francisco, so he could attend school while I taught in the Bay Area. We loved our time in the city! From there we moved to Virginia, where my husband told me it never snows…LIES, I tell you LIES! The harshest winter in years hit the state during our first year.
We moved back to California in 2011, 6 weeks after the birth of our first child, David Joseph! Praise hands all day! Our daughter, Isabelle Grace was born in 2013. Both of my kids attend the local Christian school and are enrolled in Spanish Immersion. Si halbo Espanol…just kidding I don’t! I’m an embarrassment to my kids!
Please stick around and read about my crazy life.
